    I ruined lightened to many etches trying to enhance them.

    Use a sharpened pencil into the etch. Graphite will highlight and gently polish.

    If no rust the pencil is least invasive if etch has any depth. No depth leave alone.
    There is no rust. The reverse side needs some sand paper ..

    Adding a bevel will a challenge. Trying to get it as thin as possible , plus there are some chips in the edge.

    Maybe some kind of clear plastic would work for scales.

    I have so many W&B to work on at the moment that I will oil it up, add a bit of masking tape and bag it up for the time being.
