    Those look very round to me(for Vickers you use a pyramid shaped indentor and use the lenght of the diagonal of the inprint to get a value), Brinell, maybe but I think they may be a bit big to be either or maybe that's just me being more familiar with modern testers.

    For reference, here's a pic of a Vicker's test i did(taken through the eyepiece)

    That would make sense, especially if someone got a little heavy handed with the inside of the cover. Let us know how it turns out!
