    Default Very first full restore Baurmann Sohne Post 2 - after/in progress pics

    Hi folks. Here are a few pics of the Baurmann restore in it's current stage. I will post pictures once I am finished.

    Baurmann and Sohne is fine quality. This looks quite nice!

    Looks good...what are you using for a wedge?

    After looking at it a bit closer you might be a bit long on the scales.

    Maybe it is an optical illusion????

    Thank you for the comments. I'm using a piece of the old scales for the wedge. I should have included it in the pictures. I used the old scales as templates to make the new maple scales.

    Look like quite a bit of distance to the end of the scale.

    Either there will be a big wedge or a lot of room between the end of the blade and wedge.

    I am not trying to be a downer or anything...just offering advice from what I can see.
    Heck it might look GREAT!
    You did an awesome job on the scales themselves...I am SURE you can figure this out! :
