Ohh I'm not gonna doing it. I'm gonna have one of the honemeister here do it. I just want to here what could be done with this? a full restore I'm hoping.

It is in nice shape, it looks like it could be honed and used as is! What are your plans for it regarding scales?

I would say yes...
But am a bit concerned with how deep the pits are near the edge, at the heal on the front side. If its just staining, your good to go.Mike

scales are another issue. I Like customs scales, but that can get pricey. The blade itself is in my budget. but if you guys think this can be restored to like new I'll buy it. If I can get it it will be my first Japanese straight baby!
