Blade drawing to one side???
What would make a blade when closing draw to one side? In other words, toward the scale of a particular side. I have a Revisor that has done this and there has been no damage done to the scales or razor. Could it be a washer that has worn down on the pivot or what have you guys seen that build and repair scales???

Probably scale warping duo to dehydration (natural) or heat/chemical deformation (termoplástica and other synthetics.

Thanked: 13247If we knew what the scales were made of it would REALLY help
A picture of the Pivot area from the tail toward the toe would also really help

It could be something as simple as a slightly bent pin throwing your blade off center when closing, but unless we have the razor in hand then all we can do is speculate.

It is thermoplastic as indicated by Revisor. I will post a picture later this evening.

Either the scales are warped somewhere
or there's something about the pivot area, being it a crooked/bent pin
or just a bad peening job, too much pressure on a certain place which gives the blade a different alignment, peening on different areas on the pin affects how the razor sits in the scales, this is relatively easy to solve, hitting the pin in the right spot to align it right; unless when the pin becomes too tight. A re-pinning with hitting in the right spots will align it correctly.
Either that or the blade itself is warped.
So it's either:
- Scales warped
- Pivot pin bent or not peened correctly
- Blade warped
Or a combination

BTW- The scales seem symmetrical as far as on side view and appear uniform. Maybe it could be a pivot pin that is bent but how would the razor go from on center to off center when they are treated with the utmost care???
