The scales look nice, I like antler, but the thick and wide pivot look like they will be awkward to shave and strop with.

Tell him to model after the original Wade Butcher scales, they really did know what they were doing in the size and style department.

Most folks paying top dollar for WB razors, want horn scales. Those in wild colors or modern shapes do not command near the price of restored or rescaled originals. Just what I have noticed.

When I shave with a razor the handle is always up or down between my middle finger & my ring finger. My ring finger is on the tail of the razor. I don't feel the awkwardness really when shaving or stropping a razor. However, my wife cuts my hair and she uses a 5/8 imperial Boker with a french tip. If she uses a straight razor that is ground thin, and she can hear the hair shave you will hear her pretty quickly " I don't like this razor !" She claims the razor has to fit her hand. It doesn't matter how good the razor shaves. For her it has to fit a small hand. Maybe I should stop telling her it is her imagination.
