Sorry for your lose!
I learned my lesson early and got lucky too. First buffing job was a small wedge; wheel caught it, jerked it out of my hand and stuck the blade into the insulation in the wall.....didn't hurt the blade, like I said, got lucky!"If You Knew Half of What I Forgot You Would Be An Idiot" - by DoughBoy68

Thanked: 15Eeeks! I never found the piece the was ripped off. It's also worth noting that even if it didn't break off, it could have caused a fracture that showed up later. Sad to see a nice blade go. Learning curves happen, I guess. Still, I mourn for the old soldier. [emoji6]

Wait till you drop one on what you think is a rubber mat & it finds the only bare concrete on the floor.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanked: 5Sad to see the results but the positive is no bodily damage and no loss of eyes.
Just post the images on Ebay and describe as edge just needs honing and a new set of scales for the restorer.

It happens to everybody. I had a nice Wade Butcher in my hand for 15 minutes before it broke. Last time I ever used a Dremel on a razor. Buffing is the most dangerous thing we do on a razor. You need to remain aware every second you are buffing.
