Frame backs??.. Luxury... Now I recall why I haven't tackled a wedge in a while. And the darn thing bit me...

Therefore, I would like to lay some rules to be observed in all this.

Max runs the best and most popular sub-forum here (save the Pinuad subforum...) quite efficiently!
Lets adhere to the rules and no announcing any special day, telling someone their razor is 'too' nice, any such.
Some serious guys there. In the sport, a joy to behold, I think.

Lets have some fun without cheapening the SOTD and respect the pretty things as well.
Guys post there from the world-over. I expect making a habit of it would be a negative thing.

In retrospect, there used to be themed shaves proclaimed. Perhaps we might suggest some more of them on occasion?
    Pure class. of course!
That was my whole intention in the first place. Then there was a shout from the Alamo, to the public eye.

But alls good, and will be , cause we can be adults about it. "FUN ON"!!

And it doesn't have to be rusty and crusty. Just your most tarnished.

To give you guys an idea of my work today on my "tarnished beauty", I removed active rust with 0000 steel wool, but kept the tarnish. Washed 'er with dawn and threw it in a set of manufactured replacement scales that I think are bakelite, using a brass nut and bolt. I started on the 1k at 230/3 and just left for a brake 15 minutes ago. There were 3 bevels I had to get through and serious heel chips. Hoping to get this bad boy a nice bevel tonight. Btw, all that was with 2 layers of tape. No pictures, just to annoy Hirlau

Man, outback! Your Waterville has seen better days?

And 'Tuzi! As I look at that crusty thing, all I can see is how lovely it shall be as you restore it.
I reckon you got the bevel going first this time?

Mine shaves so good, I may well just let it be.

Thanks, yes it's in the queue for a resto along with some other beauties. Bevel first this time and what a hard won battle that was! Took a bit longer than I expected, I felt like I was cramming for an exam last night Turned out a nice shave though!

The cool thing about the waterville is, there's only a few teeny weeny pits in it,
    Its all patina, all original.
There is a water etch on the b side of the blade, but not rusty, or pitted. I'll post pics of it tonight after work.

BTW. It shaves like the Wosty ,on loan.
