Default James barlow & Sons, Before & After

Here's a project I've been working on. The blade had deep scratches and rust spots. I only removed what I thought
was safe considering my skill level. The scales are acrylic, and the spacer is made out of an old guitar pickguard.
The original scales were real tortoise and I couldn't save them (too bad). They were in much worse shape than the
photos show. Thanks to Roy (cudarunner ) for helping me learn these skills.

That's looking really nice! Those big Barlows aren't that easy to come by and I'm happy to see this one brought back into service so nicely. Enjoy it proudly!

    karlej,
Thank you, I think you may be right. Someone else has mentioned that to me also. Maybe I jumped the gun, sorry folks!

The scales are from a company called Woodturningz, they have a lot of different colors. Ask for them to cut the spindle
    into 1/8 inch slabs.

    Very nice restoration indeed.
Using the pick guard for a spacer is a really cool idea!
    Bravo!!
