Thread: Question on finish for zebra bone scales

    I am with rolodave on the ca glue. Tedious work but would put high gloss on it if that's what you wanted. Did I mention tedious ?

    Did you not taper the tang or is it just the pics make it look that way ?

    Did you not taper the tang or is it just the pics make it look that way ?
    I did not for this piece. The client had that specific request, and wanted a tang that did not taper and had the same width as the rest of the handle. I was a little worried that it may cause issues when flipping the scales, but fortunately, they slide past easily!

    The problem is more about the pivot loosening with use but if that's what he wants it's his choice.
