I think spending $1000.00 for as razor depends on the persons' interpretation of what they consider value and what they want in life. I have quite a few razors but none that I would consider over $200.00. However, if that is what you want, I say go for it! You only dance on this earth for a short time.

Thanked: 15True, I'd rather have several trade/upgrade/ play with. One has to show SOME restraint. Lol
Each their own.
Funny, I started wanting a few Solingens, a few Shefields, Thiers, Swedes, etc. Now that I have them, I'm thinking thumb notches, engravings, French points, and sexy scales... preferably from Solingen, etc.
I expect at some point I'll thin the herd to my favs that will likely be a Wacker chevalier and if blessed a custom.
If you buy the best to start.. do you know it's the best? [emoji6]
I ramble...
Cheers

At the end of the day it's all good, as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and accept who you are and what you've become. I know someone who paid $15K for a baseball card and he stills thinks that was a great decision.
Wish you lot's of luck with your collection. You're very passionate about straight razors!Semper Fi !
