Removing scuff marks from scales
Need advice for removing light scuffs, not deeper scratches from scales.
Do you wet sand? Polish?
What grit papers or compound to use?
Appreciate the advise.

Thanked: 635It depends how deep. If not bad 1000,1500,2000,2500 grits wet or dry. Then polish with Mother's.
Works on horn, bone, celluloid, hard rubber.

What are the scales made of? Is this a valuable razor? Does it have sentimental value? Or, is it a day to day shaver?
I would use different approaches based on the answers to these questions.

Sally's would be a fine place to set up the honing table? Right out on the sidewalk?

If they are not terrible I take mothers polish on my finger and scrub then buff with microfiber towel.
Nothing is fool proof, to a sufficiently talented fool...
