By the way, I use permanent marker on my cracked blades to flag the cracks. Their aesthetics already are ruined and as I said, I don't sell them, so the mark is there just to remind me of the crack.
I changed the picture with crack marked.

Well, since about everyone feels the blade is useless, I may as well try narrowing it past the crack. It isn't visible in the picture but, the blade has a slightly thicker "rib" right where the crack stops. The blade right now is 3/4" wide. I estimate the blade will be roughly 9/16" wide after I narrow the blade past the crack. No harm in trying since it is junk anyway, lol.

Thank you, everyone, for your advice. I will post a picture after I'm done.

It s not valuable either way, to remove that crack will make that a very small blade no where near the width it should be, plus Ducks are so common not worth a bunch f money now a days. And a cracked blade may be usable but surely not valuable. Tc

That is the reason I originally bought it.

Sorry, I guess I did not make myself clear. I certainly saw the crack without needing the arrow!

I was looking for context, as in the location of the crack within the entirety of the blade.

If you look at post #8, you can see that the crack is relatively close to the heel. Some people simply would grind out the area of the edge between the crack and the heel. If the crack were closer to the middle of the blade that would be a much less viable option. On the other hand, if the crack were fairly near the point of the blade, then an option would be to shorten the blade.

My apologies, The crack is right in the middle, unfortunately. I'm sure someone out there has a nice blade with bad scales I can sell it to.

OK, well then, like I said there isn't any mod for a crack in the middle.

If it's any consolation, I and probably many others, have boxes of razors that we save only for thrust washers and experimentation!
