This is what I used. https://www.texasknife.com/vcom/prod...oducts_id=1961 Comes in 6 different colors and sheets 6x12 inches. I bought red, black and white sheets which are .024" thick. This liner is fairly brittle and is difficult to saw, but does sand down, and polish up nicely. Used an epoxy glue on scales and liner. Worked great.
Had to sand down the eagles wings about 1/2 original thickness to get them to look right and not too bulky on the scales.
