    Default Blade closing Off-Center

If a blade is closing off-center, is there a way to adjust this?
Or is the only fix to re-pin it?

Lightly tap pivot pin on the opposite side it is hitting. Use a hammer for ah anvil. Very light taps so you don't split the scales.

I think the two main causes I have seen is a bent pin and warped scales. If the scales are straight you can try to adjust the close by tapping the pin on one side, if it is effect, you are good to go. However sometimes it appears to work and then after not long it goes all wacky again, which is a sure fire sign of a bent pin.

    Thanks for all your comments.

The razor is new to me, and it came from an honest seller who reported a known
closing problem. I want to keep it, so I want to fix it, if possible.

The scales are original, made of a rather flexible plastic of some sort, faux mother-
    of-pearl. There are 3 pins.

Here's a couple of lousy photos, one open, one closed. I think you can see that the
pivot pin is "Angled" somewhat. The blade closes very close to the bottom scale on
    the photo.

I tried tapping the pins, and that helped a bit. But, as Rezdog said, it's still kinda
wobbly. I've never re-pinned a razor before, so if that's what it needs, then I'm
    gonna give Glen a call.

    This

btw the angle of the pivot pin is irrelevant to closing to centre.... Unless the tang hole is almost an interference fit.

To know for sure what the problem is, you'd have to unpinn it and check the tang against a flat surface to see how flat/straight the blade is. If its even on both sides, the scales are probably warped, or have shrunk, or have shifted because of a loose wedge pin. Once that's figured out, then the proper repair can be made to fix it
