    I have made something such as this from Corian. Works nicely. An o-ring rolled-up holds it nice and snug.

    I really like your design but one thing that I would change from experience is that I would make the small blocks the width of the box at least on the blade end. I have found that the blade acts like a wedge and will split the wood.

    ahh. very good advice. thank you. will have to try that. i picked up a second kami but havent made a box for it yet.
