    Default Minwax paste?

Just got a new Dovo with yew scales.

After first test run noticed water marks In the wood.
I expected the wood to have a better finish.

Any reason not to put coat of minwax paste on it?

You can use minwax paste on it without any problems. You will probably have to rub it in several times over the following week to get the wood oiled back up.
