From the pictures there appears nothing wrong with the old scales. I would for sure save them for future use on another if nothing else Frankenrazor.

Thanked: 13245I just fixed one exactly like that
The scales are slightly warped and I had to do a Wedge cut down to get the razor closed
The razor is Mint and the owner is well known for sending me Seriously nice stuff that he cares for
These scales seem to have some issues"No amount of money spent on a Stone can ever replace the value of the time it takes learning to use it properly"
Very Respectfully - Glen

it is strange that the scales don't seem warped or misshapened other than it closes off center.
The metal decal looks good and not offering any indication of a shrinkage problem.
The metal blade almost reaches the wedge pin so shaving or spinning the pin isn't an option.
As i wrote earlier I purchased it from a member who no longer visits us here.
Goes by "dsipari" Junior Member from Thailand and this is his description of the Dovo.
1) Dovo Special, 6/8.
Gold wash still in tact! This razor closes slightly to the right, but other than that, its a beauty......with really nice balance and heft.
I guess he forgot to mention it doesn't close.S.L.A.M.,.......SHAVE LIKE A MAN!!!
