The latest set of scales were going to have a different blade in them ,an
1850`s W&B with a quite noticeable taper to the shank ,when pinning the pivot the blade would lift up out of the scales the tighter the peening the more the blade would rise ,hence the Torrey blade. I have struck this once before Has anyone else encountered this problem and if so what is the cause and more importantly how do you over come it. I have my suspicions but I would like a definitive answer.
Correct me if I`m wrong ,but placing the wedge in reversed may possibly work however I`m not sure
Kind regards Peter
