Yup, can be re-plated, but is costly in the $80-100 range and must be un and repined adding to the cost.

I remove a lot of gold on a lot of customer daily drivers, as it looks terrible once scratched. All Gold wash/plating is very fragile. So, even re-plated it will easily scratch or rub off with regular use.

Back Roads Gold does nice re-plating on double edge razors at a reasonable cost. I think he used to do straight razors. I do not think he will un and re-pin.

Re-plate if it is a wall hanger otherwise, leave it off and use it.
