It looks to me like that crack goes a pretty good ways up and curves to the left. I don't know that you're going to get rid of it but that doesn't mean you can't shave with it. I have one that I shaved with for a while that had a crack and I didn't even realize it for quite some time. Still, if it is I would put it away. That's what I did once I realized it had that crack in the one I have

Under higher magnification, what looks like a crack is chip lined up with a couple of deep pits. It gets blurred out in the photo and looks more gray.
Of course, the difference between that and a crack is probably negligible if those pits go more than half way through the blade it will just be a chip until it is all gone.If you're wondering I'm probably being sarcastic.

Thanked: 56Corrosion, crack, ugly, whatever it is I am not getting it to hone up well there. So, yeah, I am leaning pretty hard towards putting it away. If I do anything at this point it will just be to see what I can do and learn from it. Which is a lot less fun than the others I have to play with .
