I’ve used my tumbler with walnut quite a bit. I expect all the media is the same. However with interactions with other member I’m left feeling that my media is way less aggressive than others. Mine basically does a good cleaning, while others claim it rounds out their lines. I guess you could experiment with your media on something you don’t care about. I’m in the camp of always be cautious. The tape for cleaning is a solid system and I’ve done it with no negative consequences.

I have had a junk Pakistani razor in the walnut for the last 6 hours. I just had a look and it has had no effect on the steel good or bad. I will see what it looks like tomorrow at this time.
