The idea of sanitizing a razor has never even occurred to me. fifteen years and seventy straight razors later and I am still standing! There are so many ways of dying, and we're all born to die anyways. I guess when my time is up there is nothing I can do so I just never worried about it!
If it's meant to be its meant to be!

yes we're all born to die but that doesn't mean you have to sneak up to the front of the line.
We all do things we shouldn't do and get away with it again and again and then something happens and our luck runs out.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Thanked: 15570% ethyl alcohol will kill all viruses, and 70% isopropyl alcohol will kill the ones everyone seems to be concerned about (HIV, Hep B, Hep C). Niether will kill spore forming bacteria. Alcohol will attack celluloid scales. Bleach diluted 10:1 is a great dissenfectent, but it will attack any metal, including the blade.

Thanked: 17I think this topic would benefit from a "sticky" post in the restoration forum. It seems like this comes up at least once a month. Maybe someone could volunteer to make a quick write up on the different methods and their pros/cons?
