Also, oversizing the pivot hole to 5/64 gives you some room to work when using collars and 1/16 pins.
I have pinned many with a popcicle stick or half a clothespin from the middle of the scales against the spine on an open blade, Shoving it over as I peen.
Big key is bolting things up and looking at tedancies. Snugging things up tight before peening seems required for me (Tape!). Wedge end first!
