Could be mother of toilet seat. AKA pearloid. Those actually look real though.

Thanked: 3228Besides the old rubbing them against your teeth, they should be iridescent. The real MOP scales I have are also thicker than normal. Regardless, what a great looking pair of razors.

Ya, They are MOP. Get some light just right and they will pop. IIRC, a law in effect much as ivory and tortoise. Big pieces are nobueno now.
Here is another pair. Sadly, some panels missing from the box which has a date of Xmas 1907. Don't think it was ever used.
OH, Just a reminder, Randy. Your scales are sitting here with sized, reinforced collars just waiting for a blade!
