    That looks like the bubinga to me. The padauk is redder with a less-pronounced grain. I could be wrong, though.

    No, I think you're right. The other wood is much redder. This is more dark brown.

    Great looking scales and blade. I like the traditional shapes, I am a form follows fuction type of guy.
    I really must start doing better on my blades, yours and several others have put me to shame.

    Very nice...I like the brass pins...they jump out from the wood! You said it was finished in CA...what I CA?

    Christmas is approaching...could be time to ask for "toys" to start with some restoration work....hmmmmmm.

    CA = superglue. You basically apply it in thin coats with a rubber glove... After about 12 to 15 coats, you sand it up to a mirror finish. It's very cool, if a little time consuming...
