Epoxy filling is one option, but matching the color and opacity would be difficult. The filler may not take polishing the same way either. It would be much easier if the scales were something more opaque and of a single color and tone.
Upon looking at the pics again, I think one could get away with simply removing the chipped ridge and slightly reshaping the remaining flat part. It looks as if it wouldn't change very much in the end.Last edited by floppyshoes; 02-04-2008 at 04:18 PM.

Derek, go with zman or floppy. They might be able to get it done quicker. Especially now that were talking about repairing those scales too!

Send them to zman, I'm swamped. I currently have 17 blades coming my way in the mail.
