Default Anyone available to resto Twins?!?!

Seems I am in the restorer employment business these days! I know everyone is busy these days so I figured I would ask the masses rather than PM individuals. Just got these twins in today.. very sexy!

I am looking for someone to restore both of these razors. I would like to keep them original if at all possible, so I am not necessarily looking for custom scales. I have a few long term razors in the mill already I guess I am looking for someone who can take these projects on and have them completed within about 2-4 weeks.

    Thanks All!

Normally I'd volunteer for this, but I am trying to finish a pair of bone inlaid scales, and then I have a 7 day set and an 8/8 Joseph Rodgers to restore, so I am kind of occupied for the next 2 months.

How quick is quick? No new scales? What do you want done with the chips in those scales? Just sanded up and polished? Then restore the blades? What kind of timeline are you hoping for?

Alex, you are killing me! I already have 5 razors coming your way for resto plus custom scales, how many more do you think you can handle at once?

It always amazes me how much meat was on the blade originally.
I've got one of these that I'm working on that has half the steel.

I don't know lol. If you can get someone else, try it out. I mean, time depends on how clean you want the blades (mint or "clean") and what you need done to the scales. Obviously making scales is probably the biggest time consumer for me, but if they have some deep damage that doesn't want to come out and you want every mark gone, it'll take more time.

heh... I am sure Traveler can restore with both hands and type with his toes!

And Alex... If you want these I am sure I can send them your way. I just am trying to get something shave ready sooner than later and thought 5 would be more than enough!

Anyways, I have two offers (zman and philadelph) any others?

I could do it if you really want, but I too would like to know what you want done with the chipped scales... Given free reign, I'd rescale. Those are real tortoise with pewter panels incidentally, so I understand why you might want to keep them.

I really would like them filled if at all possible. If you look at that scale you'll notice a patch just below the chipping that looks a bit weird. Its actually filled with some sort of epoxy. Not sure how it was done but rescaling is really my last resort.
