Billy got in touch this evening (Scottish time!) and I have ordered the CD from him. Looking forward to it. Thanks for all the help folks.

    Ahem!

I'd certainly agree with everyone else and recommend watching Bill's CD 1st. I did some trial and error stuff before I got the CD and made some mistakes I shouldn't have - having to sandpaper superglue off my fingers springs to mind...

I thought vets would have had better ways of removing glue from living tissue than sandpaper! Livestock probably doesn't get near the stuff very often right enough. Mind you I seem to remember that when my dog had his tail docked the vet left an extra flap of skin and used some sort of bio-superglue to neatly finish the job off.

I await the CD and am standing back from any tinkering till it appears...
    Thanks Malcolm

Um, yeah. To be fair, I'm generally more careful with patients than I am with me - after all, I notice more quickly when something's hurting. As you mentioned, we do use tissue glue on skin quite a lot but it generally comes off in time as skin cells are shed. I didn't have time to wait for that so broke out the 600 grit. Worked nicely too.
