Default Ceramic, Resin bump + any Australian experiences, advice?

epic thread, and thanks to all contributors. I'd also like to hear back from those that used the ceramic and resin mix as bumped in above two posts. I'd also like to hear from any Australians, and what is viable and successful here as my compatriot "Lancer" mentions in 2008 Terrific read.

Just a quick question....I have (It looks like) gold etching on the blade of one of my Keen Kutter SR and was wondering if this would damage the etching and remove it?
    Thanks, Great thread

    Razorburn:

Yes it will remove the gold, it will also remove the frosted style etch

Just a quick question...the screw that runs through the center of the hopper, would it be safer to slide a piece of clear tubing over that to help protect the blade?

    Thanks,

I've never had any blade damage while using my hopper, but I doubt it would hurt to put some sort of sleeve over the threaded rod. Fun part is loading up the walnut and cob media, seems to take forever for all the blobs to disburse...
