I would rank it as more aggressive than Brasso, but not by much,
Yeah, there are two kinds, but people have success with the premium vs basic.

+1 on Peek. I use it with the finest grade steel wool, ("000") and finish with a cotton rag. Works great for cleaning chalk spots, minor surface rust and tarnish. I use it on celluloid scales too.

Default Tried some stuff called Nano-Polish - it doesn't work

I tried this stuff the other day when I was out unsuccessfully looking for that Turtlewax deluxe stuff. It claims to have 1 nanometer grit. I don't know but I do know that it is capable of adding a fine polish without removing any of the water stains or anything else I bought it for

If you see this on the shelf and think to yourself, "hmmm... I wonder..." I can tell you the answer is probably No.

    -can be applied
    1) by hand with a soft (preferably lint-free) cloth and rubbed in, then buffed off with either a buffer or by hand with another cloth
    2) using a dremel and felt wheels/muslin wheels

-felt wheels will turn black from the residue and chemical composition of the polish

-Often used to clean an eBay blade when you first get it as well as a final polish
