    I'm a minimalist as well. I'm sure someone is bound to like that sort of thing though.

    I think they are ok. I can see someone really liking them though (there are people who do). They remind me of spurs for some reason and give a "western" feel in my opinion. I am talking about those washers that you used in particular. It comes down to personal preference as with a lot of razor options.

    I like them, in restraint. I think the scales J put them on just aren't the right fit for that ornate washer treatment. For instance, I think the already somewhat fancy Hess scales look OK with one just at the tang end:

    I don't like them.
    I am not saying that washers can't be creative. Vlad sometimes used custom washers that looked very nice, but the washers from the pics are just too gaudy and girly for my taste. I'd rather use plain washers.

    You might as well use flowers, give it pink scales and etch 'la di da' on the blade
