Thanked: 13249I'll give this a try, Yes the SatinBaby was a smaller version of the SatinEdge, sorta like the Dwarf was a smaller version of the #1
Now that there are so many threads stating that DD blades have no difference between them I feel hesitant to even state the obvious...
WHY would DD have so many versions of different razors, if they are all the same???? Just to market their different scales????? food for thought.....
Maybe Thebigspendur who is way more knowledgeable than I on these razors could weigh in....
Sorry slightly off topic here
No need to take this discussion much farther on this thread, Because this thread is about a fantastic restore by a truly gifted "Razormiester"....

Thanked: 2209Just some backround on this razor. I had bought this razor NOS, still in wrapper, sealed. I let them set, covered and out of the sunlight for about 1 year. I just did not have time to get to them. When I did get back to them about 2 months ago the clear celluloid scales has started decomposing/off-gassing and the blade was blackish in color. Joe Chandler is the best at restoration so I asked him if he would take a look at them for me. Thankfully he said ok and you guys can see the outcome.
I have not decided if I am going to keep the razor or sell it, it is a NOS blade and I really want to see how it looks first!
And yes, it is a 5/8 Satinbaby.Randolph Tuttle, a SRP Mentor for residents of Minnesota & western Wisconsin
