I am new to old, antique, vintage straight razorīs,, but I love to get myself one.
What to look for when buying one???

I'm sure others will chime in with better info than I can give you, but...
Look for any changes to the geometry of the blade - has it been shortened, etc.
Also look for hone wear or extensive flattening of the spine. Obviously, rust and pitting - especially at the edge. Look for cracks or chips in the edge as well.
