i use the puffy foam shelf liner to do a chef style knife roll. holds everything in place, cushions everything. i use it for bare blades and also scales i'm working on. real fast to pack up a workbench that is also a dining room table in its other life, and unpack it when SWMBO allows it. it was what i had lying around
