Thanks for all the positive responses guys! I used a piece of bacote and sanded it down to size for the wedge. I guess I should have taken a better picture, but, since the razor is already mailed, I'm going to have to pass on that.

Well done. I like a bright finish on that blade and the scales are real nice

Before I forget. I need to give credit where credit is DUE!

I used Glen a.k.a gssixgun's tumbler method on this razor. After I took the razor off the old scales, I placed it in the tumbler with some walnut media and let her go for about 12 hours. Then I moved to corncob for another 5-6. Finished her off with a real nice polish to get those results. I used the treated media and it worked flawlessly and was real gentle on the razor.

Glen...you my friend...are the MAN! I can attest to your method...it works!

The Dubl Duck arrived today and I must say, as is often the case, the pictures, no matter how beautiful, do not fairly represent the transformation of this razor. The scales are truly beautiful and the blade is a mirror. Hard to believe this was possible to achieve from the razor I sent to Sarty24. Sarty24 was a pleasure to work with and I will be sending him my next restoration early next week.
