    Default Dubl Duck Special

    Hi Everyone,

Jeff a.k.a WestSideGuy sent me a Dubl Duck Special No.1 to restore for him. I wanted to share some of the before and after photos with you guys. The razor was received with celluloid scales, and it did not stay centered, and it was not sharp. There was a lot of oxidation around the pin area as well.

I went ahead and took off the scales. I put on some bacote scales, new pins, polished it like crazy, and honed her up. It'll be flying back to him tomorrow morning. Great guy to work with, and I look forward to working with him again in the future.

    Finished

I think that looks better than many new razors I have seen!

I have not got my W&B in the mail yet, but if I cannot do anything with it, I might BEG you put me in your line of restoration projects ...

Very nice. The bocote looks great! What did you use for the wedge and how did that come out?
