I picked this up off ebay with two other blades the total was $6 and change,that includes shipping so its not one I feel taken on no matter the outcome.
Once I sanded the rust off what I found is in the pictures.
The first pictrue shows the back of the blade, the red line is where the spin contacts the hone, wonderfully straight huh, also on the back most of the edge contacts the hone. It doesnt look warped just more metal removed from a belt sander in some spots.
The second pic shows again the red line that is where the hone touches the spine and also what looks like scratch marks from an 80 grit belt sander. I think at one point they set the bevel with 80 grit.
The third pic shows the spine, now why a razor would have that done it beyond me, it looks like someone may have been turning this into a knife with the fake double edge, (sorry cant remember what you call it or what it's for ).
My questions are this, can this ever be used as a razor again or would it require more work than what it's worth? What work would it take? Would it be better off to put a knife edge on this and make it a patch knife to carry with my black powder rifle?

The spine is factory, but not common! As for where the hone contacts the spine, now that is odd! You might want to send it out for regrinding!
