Here is a link to the first time I tried bone scales. http://straightrazorpalace.com/works...ne-scales.html

If I may ask you what you used to dye the bone and the process used for that if you dont mind sharing the secret? I played around with food coloring on wood scales but when it comes to bone I have no clue. It is a great idea and since I have a rather large dog there would be no waste she would take care of anything left over. She already sits at the bandsaw waiting for wood to fall so she has something to chew on. But I would rather her chew scrap wood than say my cell phone.
