    Im thinking of trying this myself, I have all the tools. I have te spalted maple scales, I am trying to locate the bullet style pins.

    Careful with that spalted stuff... can make you really sick.. (sorry if you already know that, just trying to help in case you didn't know how dangerous that stuff was)

    Mike, I have that exact Razor and a Maple scales request coming up next on the bench someone else was thinking like you

    As a former doctor, he should be able to deal with any issues with the spalted maple!

    +1 on ChrisL. The best is dependent on your personal preference. There's a lot of talent displayed in the Gallery. Find a style you like and PM that scalemeister. Good luck.

    No offense taken here... Just from reading the Wiki's and after looking on many woodworking forums dealing with spalted woods many caution against working with these woods without a respirator. Some even say that spalted woods can cause severe problems... but I'm no doctor, just passing on info in case people were not aware of any dangers
