What you mean exactly? The first razor I made, had after the test from the expert only 59 HRC left, not 63 HRC that it had after the hardening. So I must overheaded them at the finish grinding.
With my new razor

I paid much more attention on this point and I´m shure, this time it have still the 61 HRC, that I wanted after the hardening.

Okay, I LOVE that blade, was that one of the ones for sale as a blank? the handles are pretty but not quite my taste in shape, still, overall lovely.
if that was one of the ones for sale I don't think I saw it. Did you say that later you will be doing thicker and wider blanks? It seems crazy to me that all these big 8/8 and bigger blades go for so much money when we could be getting new blades. most of them end up needing/deserving new scales anyways.
Red
PS
You probably have many many more reference razors than I, but if needed I have a 9/8 that's in great shape you could use as a reference. just so long as I get it back

Hey Butch-
Yeah- I've made a little progress on the smiling notch, but not enough to show new pics. I think this week I'll finally have some free time in the shop to get it going. Working on some some micarta scales, most likely with an acryllic wedge.

I apologize for making this post not be "soon" . Is it too late to post custom drawings? Also, I tried finding a rough price but didn't seem to find one. Any information?

For all of us who are either brand new or really like the style...
Could we get a full hollow blank with a round point?

Thanked: 182so far as the proto blades go i have to ship one off to lynn yet and then ship the lady across the pond her's
for those just joining the thread
there is a picture and i will update it when i get a better pic of the "blank" its over sized in most every way so that i can custom grind blade shapes out
the only think that this project has being done outside of my shop is the laser cutting and all that saves me is band saw time
