Actually, it was 320, 600 and 1200 grit
felt a bit overkill to take pictures after every grit. But i did do all by hand, no dremel.
I used Autosol Metal Polish and rubbed the hell out of, almost expecting to see a genie pop out.

Thought I might post an update on this razor.
Got my table saw today and decided to give scalemaking a go, had a slab of oak in my garage to work with.
I also used a piece from the old horn scales to make a spacer, just need some sanding to make everything come together. This is the most fun i've had in years!
