Thread: Deformed pivot hole (and "what is it?")

Started my first scales-off restoration project with a bit of a puzzler...

Question #1: Can I salvage a deformed pivot hole? Drill it out and use some kind of bushing maybe?

Question #B: Anyone have a clue what brand this sucker is? All that left of the tang stamp is "Universally Approved" Above that is something that *might* end with "SILET"... There's just a couple squigles left of what was probably a logo or insignia. I'll live if I never find out, but it'd be cool to know. Again,
