    Default Newb restoring a duck

I picked up a Dubl Duck off the bay and decided to try my luck at restoration. The blade had a small chip and some pitting, I removed the chip and most of the pitting. The hand sanding was actually enjoyable and relaxing to do.
I got anxious to be done when I started thinking about getting it honed and actually shaving with it but aside from the rushed and hurried final steps, I think it turned out decent enough to get honed, what do you guys think ? Is it worthy of getting honed or is there more work to be done?

Any comments are appreciated as I hope to do this again.

    Heres the before photos:

I'll have to split this into two posts due to the 7 pic limit

    Default After Photos !

And heres the After Photos !!

Again, Comment away on what you think I could improve or what to do next time.

There is still a little bit of Pitting, but barely noticeable, and the tang was awkward to work with, so it didn't get as much attention as I would have liked.

I think it looks great. The degree of finish is a matter of personal preference. If you plan to keep and use the razor, then whatever makes you happy. But if you plan to resell it, or are a stickler for perfection, a shining mirror finish would probably be in order.
