Thanked: 402I'd cast a mold from that handle and pour new ones in pretty colors.

See now I envision a hardened weathered tough as nails old ship's captain who kept that on his boat and shaved with it just like that up until recently when he died at sea of a ripe old age. Aarghhh, matey!

Thanked: 1I've got a few blades laying around, will see if any fit the profile. Will keep the original with it for reference. Saw a better example online for $700.00...
Recommendation as to who to send it to for repair? I am not mechanically inclined to using sharp power tools on small items.

To my recollection, those lobster scales are sought after by some. They must be more rare than many of the other plastic relief scales that are in abundance, the peac.o.c.k, windmill scenes, nudes, stag, bamboo, corn cob to name a few relief scales that I've owned.

I would look for a blade with a battleship etching and surgicully implant it in those scales.Maybe even a Wester Bros. Anchor brand razor would fit snugly,iy has an anchor symbol on the tang.Just a thought.Olivia had a good idea, make a plaster cast and make solid silver scales
