I'm a bit late on this response, but...
Dovo sterol is a good product to use, especially in the pivot area of a modern production razor, like your Bergischer Lowe. It's what Dovo puts on all their new razors. My experience is that it does not have an adverse reaction to modern scale materials. I put a wee drop in that area of all my newer (<30yrs old) razors. I've tested on a couple of older razors with bakelite & celluloid scales and they seem fine, too.
