It sure did have something light. I was thinking of maybe ordering a sheet of Mica Pearl but then horn does sound pretty tempting.

In case anyone is interested, I ended up going with Black Water Buffalo scales. I left some blemishes to pay an homage to the original handle.
( Almost Done )

Yes sir. I found a set of broken combs at the a thrift shop and used them.
