    If the razor opened after it hit the floor there may be a part of the edge that is slightly folded over or chipped. Magnification & a good light source should confirm or deny damage.
    BTW 16 of mine hit the deck when the shelf they were on collapsed. The only one that was damaged was not in a coffin. It happens.

    I just did this also two days ago! On a blade I just got back from Lynn. Don't mean to hyjack, but what if you do see a very small fold in the blade??? I seen it and I could straighten it out on my fingernail. What then?

    Well, theoretically speaking that area of steel is now weaker than the rest of the edge.
    Personally, I would prefer to hone it out but I'm pretty obsessive. If you've managed to straighten it you could go ahead & strop it up & just use it. The shave should tell you if more is needed.

    When I dropped a razor on the tile floor, it was obviously open at the time, because there was a visible piece of edge broken off and flapping in the breeze.
