    Arrow New Set of Scales

I was piddling in the garage earlier today with my new batch of razors and ran across some scrap handle material. In between working on the razors, I came up with these. They are metal lined.

The white is linen micarta. The bands are fiber spacing material for knives... and the red is dyed and stabilized curly maple. The kind where you rotate it and watch the bands move all around.

    They might work...

Piddling, you call that piddiling? I'd hate to see what would happen if you were trying.

They really do look nice Bill.

    Nice stuff, Bill!

I just got through finishing a set of scales for a beautiful sheffield wedge and went with Ebony and abalone. The elegance for this is in the simplicity and I think it should accent the mirror-finish on the big silver-steel wedge very well.
