    maas isn't available from where i am. Is "autosol" a viable alternative?

    You can also try Simichrome or Cape Cod polishing Cloths.
    Both can be bought on Eboy and I believe bed bath and beyond has the cloths.

    I have both Autosol and Maas, both work very well. If you are located in Canada you can check with Home Hardware for Maas as that is where I found mine. I will say that Maas would be my first choice as it is smooth as butter, Autosol seems to have a more gritty texture. In the end, either will do the job on blades, I'd be a bit more carefull if using Autosol to polish up the scales. It does claim to be useful for plastic but.......
